Hailing from the Midwest, Lauren Wundrock is a New York City transplant growing her career in the music industry. Although originally a finance and accounting major at The University of Wisconsin Madison, Lauren transitioned into Marketing and Technology Management after a summer internship in New York, where she decided to leave the finance world to pursue her passions in music. One of her first experiences working in the music industry was with the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) "Indie Week," and she began to learn how she could leverage her technical skills to her career's advantage within the industry.
Lauren spent her first months in the city working on production teams for music conferences and festivals, and eventually earned an internship at a music studio in Manhattan. That internship in tandem with a position at a luxury line fashion showroom launched Lauren into a world of artistry and taste-making that she never knew existed. At the conclusion of her studio internship, she took a temp position with an independent record label in Manhattan for three months. An assistant to the President, it was here that she learned the unique inner-workings of A&R jobs, and what it truly means to be "independent". In January of 2018, Lauren was appointed the youngest Associate Producer of New York City Winter Jazzfest, expanding her passions for jazz and hip hop.
Currently, Lauren serves as a co-producer for Steel Sessions, a series of studio-based programming that serves aspiring music producers. Alongside Grammy-nominated engineers and producers, Steel Sessions tours a different state and studio once every month to provide consulting, training, and networking opportunities to a consistently sold out list of attendees. Lauren is also newly managing an artist, and working with brands to partner with musical influencers. She aspires to open her own LLC by the conclusion of the year, offering management and consulting services to independent artists.
